Virat Kohli had announced in his Instagram post he will be leaving Indian T-20 captaincy post the T-20 Cricket World cup this year. Virat T-20 captaincy record has been impressive winning 27 matches as Indian captain and lost 14 matches. Virat has captained India in 45 matches. Virat would hope he is able to leave on a high by winning the T-20 world cup this year. Rohit Sharma could be made new Indian T-20 captain after Virat Kohli although there are media reports in India that KL Rahul could also be considered for captaincy since he is young and could be groomed as next Indian captain.
