The IPL 2023 season has finally came to an end. After having all of the attention for almost two months, one of the most unpredictable IPL season till the last ball is now over.
Chennai Super Kings (CSK) won the final match against Gujarat Titans (GT) at the Narendra Modi stadium of Ahmedabad. CSK now equals the record of most IPL title wins along with the team Mumbai Indians, as both teams have 5 titles each.
In this article, we are going to discuss some of the brilliant player performances of IPL 2023. Leaving the teams behind some individual performances in IPL 2023 were really commendable. Whether it’s Shubman’s century or Rinku’s 5 sixes in an over or Arshdeep shattering the stumps twice these performance will always hold a special place in the IPL history.
Here we are with the list of players from all the IPL teams who performed brilliant in this tournament.
1. SHUBMAN GILL
This IPL Shubman Gill became the representative for team Gujarat Titans. He made a total of 890 runs this IPL season. Gill is the highest run scorer of IPL 2023 also. He also won the title of the Most Valuable Player award. His class of batting makes him one of the most terrifying batters.
2. YASHASVI JAISWAL
Rajasthan Royals’ player Yashasvi Jaiswal, the 21-year-old cricketer has won the Emerging Player award this IPL season. He made a total of 625 runs in just 14 matches he played in. He has taken cricket to an another level and has shown a new level of power hitting.
3. DEVON CONWAY
This CSK opener has been a big hit this season. Conway made 672 runs this IPL and that too at an average north 50. He was also the 2nd highest run scorer in this season for Chennai Super Kings. This batter has also played a good knock in the Final match and was also declared as Man of the Match in Finals. He can provide the necessary stability in the match if the team loses an early wicket.
4. SURYAKUMAR YADAV
Suryakumar Yadav changed up his game in the middle of IPL 2023 and after that never looked back. Despite of making a slow start, the Mumbai Indian player scored runs in the latter half of the tournament. He did his best and played his well known outrageous shots. The Mumbai franchise player played well and scored a total of 605 runs in this IPL season. He displayed that he can be a good choice for any team. SKY has the ability to turn on his known disastrous mode at any time which also makes him a best fit for any team.
5. RINKU SINGH
Kolkata Knight Riders this season will have to give the credits to Rinku Singh. This young player has shown an another level of batting this season. Rinku has also came up as one of the top middle-order batters of this season. His never die attitude made his team KKR win lost matches. His well known 5 sixes in 5 balls in match against Gujarat Titans is still one of the greatest moments in tournament’s history. This player made a total of 474 runs this season with an average of 59.
6. HEINRICH KLAASEN
In a disappointing season for Sunrisers Hyderabad, Heinrich Klaasen was the main hope for team SRH. This South African player looked apart from his fellows as he scored the most runs for his team. Klaasen’s ability to handle up the bowlers with his hard hitting was a weapon for SRH. He made a massive total of 448 runs for Hyderabad in IPL 2023 in just 11 innings he played. He also made a century in IPL 2023 and had a strike rate of 177.
7. AXAR PATEL
Amazing player from Delhi Capitals this season is Axar Patel, who played a decent season for Delhi Capitals. Axar scored a whopping 283 runs in the matches he played and also took 11 wickets which makes him the player of the season for Delhi based franchise. The Indian cricket can prove to be an asset to any team he plays in.
8. RASHID KHAN
Rashid Khan, Gujarat Titans asset for the IPL 2023 season. The brilliance Rashid Khan holds has probably been one of the reasons of Titans’ success. Rashid has picked up a total of 27 wickets this season and this is the second highest after his fellow teammate Mohammed Shami who took 28 wickets. His brilliant inning against team Mumbai Indians this season was a historic inning to watch. His ability to handle adverse situations greatly was evident throughout the tournament.
9. ARSHDEEP SINGH
Arshdeep Singh, pacer for Punjab Kings became famous for breaking the stumps twice this season. This left-arm pacer was impressive in IPL 2023 with PBKS. This youngster took a sum of 17 wickets and regularly shattered the stumps down. His ability with the ball to execute it at death is an asset to any of the teams he plays for.
10. MOHAMMED SIRAJ
Mohammed Siraj pacer for Royal Challengers has grown tremendously over the last few years. But he displayed his best this IPL season. Siraj bowled with a great intensity which gave RCB fantastic results. He picked up 19 wickets in the tournament and often gave early breakthroughs in the match. His skills to take wickets in the powerplay made him an important player of Royal Challenger Bangalore.
