India beat Zimbabwe in Second ODI an win ODI series

Indians took unbeatable 2-0 lead in 3 match ODI series in Zimbabwe. Indians dominated first T-20 match vs Zimbabwe beating them by 10 wickets.

In the first ODI match vs. Zimbabwe, Zimbabwe top order collapsed, lower order contribution by Brad Evans, Richard Ngarava, Regis Chakabva helped Zimbabwe post a challenging score.

Deepak Chahar, Prasidh Krishna, Axar Patel took 3 wickets each for India. Deepak Chahar rocked Zimbabwe top oder picking 3 wickets after making a comeback to Indian team after 6 months.

In reply, Shubman Gill and Shikhar Dhawan chased Zimbabwe score of 190 in 30 overs. Shikhar Dhawan remained unbeaten at 81 and Shubman Gill remained unbeaten at 82.

In second ODI, India beat Zimbabwe by 5 Wickets

Second ODI was a hard fought win for visiting team India, Indians lost half of their team chasing a small total of 161, KL Rahul opened the innings for Indians making only 1 run, Ishan Kishan again flopped making a score of 6, Shikhar Dhawan and Shubman Gill made useful contributions of 33 runs each. Sanju Samson was star performer for India with the bat scoring 42 runs and remained unbeaten, Sanju Samson was given man of the match for splendid performance with the bat and behind the wickets as well taking excellent catches as well.

In the bowling department, Shardul Thakur took 3 wickets and rest of the Indian bowlers took 1 wicket each, Deepak Hooda as well picked up 1 wicket.

For Zimbabwe things looked better in the second ODI, in the batting department Sean Williams played a useful knock of 42 runs, Ryan Burl remained unbeaten at a score of 39 runs.

In the bowling department, Luke Jongwe took 2 Indian wickets; players like Tanaka Chivanga bowled impressively.

Future looks bright for Zimbabwe cricket with new talents emerging and being fast tracked into the national team. Players like Blessing Muzarabani, Tendai Chatara, Craig Ervine are injured currently, once fit. Zimbabwe looks solid as ever.
