Cheteshwar Pujara, Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma all scored half centuries in India’s second innings but not good enough to prevent India’s defeat. Indian team poor batting in both the innings cost them the match after’s Lords high. Ajinkya Rahane poor form with the bat continues, Rishabh Pant has also not scored any half century on this tour yet, Ishant Sharma has also not been effective on this tour yet, and he was wicket less in the Leeds’s test match. Joe Root good form with the bat continues, he scored his third hundred of this series. James Anderson, the swing wizard has taken 400 wickets on English soil, becoming the first English cricketer to do so. India team needs to sort out their batting issues, team lacks depth in batting. Lower order of India has not scored enough runs barring odd innings of Lord’s. Indian team management has few days left before the next test match starts on 2 September 2021, hope team management will pick the right combination this time around.
