India beat England by 157 runs in Oval Test match; this was India’s first test victory in Oval after 1971. India bowlers were superb in second innings; Jasprit Bumrah magical spell after lunch set the tone for bowlers. Umesh Yadav picked up three wickets in both innings for India, Shardul Thakur all round display was the big difference between both the teams. Shradul Thakur scored counter attacking fifty in first innings which somehow took India to a respectable total that was 191. England took 99 runs leads over India. Rohit Sharma best knock of English summer came in Oval Test second innings when he scored his first test century on overseas soil. Rohit Sharma scored 127 in second innings, Ajinkya Rahane flopped again in Oval Test. Virat Kohli had scored fifty in first innings of Oval test and scored 44 runs in second innings. Rishabh Pant scored his first half century of the tour in Oval Test match. Joe Root failed to score runs this time around, rest of English batsman have been pretty inconsistent. Haseeb Hameed and Joe Root were the two English Batsman which were getting regular start in the series. Ollie Robinson was the pick of the bowlers in this series picking up 21 wickets; Jasprit Bumrah had picked up 18 wickets. Bowling from the sides has been pretty good. Batsman has struggled of the both teams when put under extreme overcast conditions. All together series has been pretty exciting, both the teams will have lot to play for in fifth test match scheduled in Manchester.
