Australia wins the Ashes Series

Australia wins the Ashes Series beating England

Australia wins the ashes series by beating England by innings and 14 runs and taking unassailable 3-0 series. Victoria paceman Scott Boland was hero for Australia picking up six wickets in English second innings. English team had made four changes for the boxing day test match, Stuart Broad, Rory Burns, Chris Woakes, Ollie Pope was dropped from team.

Joe Root has been the only English player who has been able to score consistently in the all three ashes test matches in the series, rest consistency is missing in all the players. James Anderson has struggled on the tour for most parts, Chris Woakes has been below par with the ball. Ben Stokes lack of match practice has been pretty visible by seeing his performance in the ongoing Ashes Series.

Marcus Harris repaid the selectors and team management faith by scoring 76 runs on difficult pitch of Melbourne. Pat Cummins, Mitchell Starc has been in top form for Australia in current ashes series. Nathon Lyon has also been contributing with the ball for Australia picking up wickets at crucial intervals. David Warner, Steve Smith, Marnus Labuschagne, Travis Head all have been scoring runs for Australia in the ongoing Ashes and snatching crucial moments from England.

Main difference between both the teams has been adaptability factor with the conditions, England team selection has also been main point of discussion in the English media and for England selectors. Joe Root may have to face the heat; he might be sacked from Test captaincy after the Ashes series. Chris Silverwood future also hangs in balance. Need to see how things pan out for English team captain and head coach.

England team is due to tour West Indies for 3 match test series after the Ashes, some big changes are expected in current England squad for that series.

Stay tuned for more updates.
